RockJock's Adjustable Front Bump Stop Kit for JL/JT front and JK front presents a completely different take on the concept of bump stops!
In high articulation situations, a bump stop mounted on the axle housing ends up rotating inward toward the vehicle's center, often missing the upper bump stop entirely (see diagram in the photo gallery).
By lowering the upper bump stop and being able to adjust its length, bump stop contact can be guaranteed when and where needed.
The adjustable kit features components made of billet aluminum and 5/16 in.
thick steel shims that can be added or subtracted for fine-tuning while the bump stop assemblies remain on the vehicle.
A socket is placed on the upper bolt to hold it in position, and the bump stop body is loosened with the supplied spanner wrench, allowing for the addition or subtraction of bump stop shims before tightening the assembly back up!
The factory yellow jounce bumper is retained and relocated by inserting it back into the bottom of the new aluminum RockJock bump stop body.
This provides a factory feel when the bump stops make contact.
The finish is clear anodize on the aluminum and zinc plating on the spacers and bolts.
