Hellwig Products' new control arm braces fit all GM A-Body vehicles from 1964-67.
This includes many popular vehicles such as the Chevy Chevelle, Chevy El Camino, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Pontiac LeMans, Pontiac GTO, Buick Skylark, and more.
The braces attach between the upper and lower rear control arm mounts, strengthening these common failure points.
GM's engineers recognized this as a weak point and even included a formed sheet metal brace on some higher horsepower big block vehicles, but the majority of vehicles never had a brace.
Hellwig's part is made from 1-1/8 DOM tube in their Visalia, CA factory and features forged ends, eliminating weak points.
It is stronger than the factory sheet metal piece, so it can be used as a replacement or installed as a new, stronger addition on vehicles that came without a brace.
