In the early 1960's, Land Speed Record Holder and 3 Time America's Most Beautiful Roadster winner, Ermie Immerso, started in the exhaust business and quickly became an industry leader in the header and exhaust business with the Thunderbird Brand and by building private label products for many iconic industry companies.
In 2000, the company was acquired by PerTronix when Ermie decided to retire.
PerTronix's knowledge of the Performance Industry, combined with Employees with extensive backgrounds in the exhaust business, made this seemingly unlikely pairing a well-matched addition.
Rebranded as Patriot Exhaust Products, the product line was expanded while strengthening existing products including Headers, Side Pipes, Exhaust Tips, and the Smithy's Mufflers- the Original Hot Rod Muffler!
Patriot continues to be a favorite for owners and top builders of Street Rods, Customs, Pick Up Trucks, and Muscle Cars.
