The SportRack SR2512 2-Bike Tow Bar or Receiver Rack is a unique bike carrier option that allows users to utilize their existing tow ball to create an exceptionally stable stowage platform for bikes at the rear of vehicles.
Compatible with static tow ball placements at the bumper and configurations utilizing hitch receivers.
A hole at the reinforced welded bottom of the carrier allows a removed tow ball to be reinserted through it and reattached to its place at the rear of the vehicle.
This can be at a permanent spot at the back of the vehicle or a ball mount.
In the case of a ball mount, this would make the SportRack SR2512 compatible with a hitch receiver as well.* Once the carrier is secured by a tow ball, up to two bikes can be attached along its heavy-duty L-shaped bike arm using the rotating clamp that cinches down on the top tubes of the bikes.
The bottom section of the clamp is bolted to the support bar, while the downward pressure of their top section around the bike arm results in a very firm hold that immobilizes bike frames.
The interior of the clamps is rubberized to ensure a dependable hold that will not scratch bike finishes.
Installation using a semi-permanent tow ball placement secures the carrier to the vehicle.
If a tow ball with ball mount configuration is used, the carrier can be locked to a vehicle's hitch receiver using a standard hitch lock (sold separately).
The tow ball with ball mount configuration also makes the carrier easy to remove and store flat in vehicles when used without a hitch lock.

SportRack warrants all SportRack brand car rack systems and included accessories manufactured by SportRack during the time that an original retail purchaser owns the product for the life of the product.
This warranty terminates if a purchaser transfers the product to any other person.
No warranty is given for defects caused by normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, or modification of, or any types of repair of a load carrier system other than those authorized by SportRack.
