In the early 1960's, Ermie Immerso, a Land Speed Record Holder and 3 Time America's Most Beautiful Roadster winner, started in the exhaust business and quickly became an industry leader in the header and exhaust business with the Thunderbird Brand and by building private label products for many iconic industry companies.
In 2000, the company was acquired by PerTronix when Ermie decided to retire, entering the Exhaust business.
This seemingly unlikely pairing was well-matched due to PerTronix's knowledge of the Performance Industry and Employees with extensive backgrounds in the exhaust business.
Rebranded as Patriot Exhaust Products, the product line was expanded while strengthening existing products including Headers, Side Pipes, Exhaust Tips, and the Smithy's Mufflers- the Original Hot Rod Muffler!
Patriot remains a favorite for owners and top builders of Street Rods, Customs, Pick Up Trucks, and Muscle Cars.
