Using the same base as a D2S bulb, the D2H HID bulbs allow you to power your HIDs with a standard 35W ballast with AMP connectors rather than an OEM or special D2-connector ballasts.
The D2H bulbs have AMP wires for connection instead of a circular socket, allowing for more room behind the projector when retrofitting a headlight.
This is also extremely handy if you're replacing an OEM ballast; you can use these bulbs along with a standard aftermarket ballast instead of an OEM D2S ballast with unique connections.
