The baseplate for mounting has been designed to make the mounting of the Reco-Traks Recovery Boards more secure and easier.
The recessed slots on the front face of the baseplate have been set for correct alignment of the Mounting Pins (sold separately) to perfectly align with the recovery boards mounting pattern.
Multiple allowances for mounting the baseplate with items like self-tapping screws, bolts, straps, and heavy-duty cable ties are included.
Fixing the baseplate down onto the surface using a more secure system like bolts, then covering the hardware with the supplied baseplate covers, completes the install.
It adds a tamper-proof system, making it harder to remove the pins from the baseplate and the entire baseplate off the vehicle when the boards are mounted.
Coupling this with the locking features within the pin design results in a secure method of mounting the investment to your vehicle.
