For drivers who require something even tougher than a standard Sport rotor from StopTech, but are not ready for a big brake kit, StopTech offers Cryo rotors that are treated cryogenically.

The cryogenic treatment is a one-time process for stress relief that involves both heat and cold cycling of the brake rotor.

Using a proprietary process controlled by a computer over a 24-hour period, the cryo machine cools the rotors down to -300 F, then gradually brings them back up to over +300 F, and finally to room temperature.

This conditioning of the rotor enhances its service life, particularly in applications for fleet and emergency vehicles.
