For drivers who need something tougher than a standard Sport rotor from StopTech, but are not ready for a big brake kit, StopTech offers cryogenically treated Cryo rotors.

The cryogenic treatment is a one-time process for stress relief that involves both heat and cold cycling of the brake rotor.

Using a proprietary process controlled by a computer over a period of 24 hours, the cryo machine gradually cools the rotors down to -300 F, then brings them up to over +300 F, and finally back to room temperature.

This conditioning of the rotor improves service life, especially in applications for fleet and emergency vehicles.
