Long-Travel King 2.5” shocks, blueprinted and specific to Carli, are on all four corners.
For the Long Arm system, we designed a custom 5-Port piston that is off-road oriented, opposed to the 3-Ports in a short-arm Pintop 2.5” System.
This piston and tuning profile for long arms alters the flow of the pressurized shock oil, displacing a wider surface area of the tuning shims to increase bottom-out on sharp hits while maintaining a predictable, comfortable street ride.
All our King shocks are rounded off with shafts that are machined and polished from a solid piece of 17-4 Stainless.
Unlike standard shafts from King, there is no coating to wear off, and weather is far less likely to damage them.
If a small chip occurs, you can round the edges with emery cloth to prevent damage to the seal housing, as they are not brittle like the stock, hardened shafts.
The shocks are finished with King oil that is good to -55* F.
Note that all King shocks feature a plated steel body.
If exposed to inclement weather for extended periods, we recommend wrapping your shocks in 3M to create a moisture barrier that is replaceable.
