Constructed from 5/32-inch plate steel, the Borne Off-Road Fuel Tank Skid Plate is designed to be tough as nails and ready to take whatever abuse you can throw at it.To provide a smooth bottom surface, all mounting points are recessed.This eliminates the potential for hardware to get caught on obstacles or shear off.Existing mounting points are utilized, so there is no need to drill or tap for installation.All corners and edges are bent at 80-degrees and reinforced for greater strength.They are first electroplated via electro-galvanization and then powdercoated black to ensure a long-lasting and durable finish.Including all hardware, install should take less than an hour with basic hand tools.All skid plates are available for purchase individually, or for more protection, check out the Borne Off-Road Powertrain Skid Plate Kit.
