Tow straps from Factor 55 are manufactured in the USA using a low stretch 100% Polyester material.
The versatility of a narrower 2 inch strap is preferred over wider 3 and 4 inch straps.
Common 3/4 screw pin shackle openings can easily fit 2 inch straps, and it has been discovered that the edges of 2 inch straps do not abrade as easily as wider 3 and 4 inch straps.
To achieve a higher minimum breaking strength of 31,000 pounds (USA Tested and repeatable), the ply was doubled, stitched the entire length, and wrapped the reinforced eyes with a durable Cordura sleeve.
Due to its low stretch quality, these straps can also serve as a 30 foot winch extension.
Each Tow Strap from Factor 55 is individually serialized for material lot traceability and properly labeled for different load configurations.
An Extreme Duty full 30 foot version is also offered with Cordura sleeve protection.
Most tow straps are taken out of service due to abrasion and wear of the strap edges.
The full length Cordura sleeve protects the inner strap from abrasion caused by dragging the strap on the ground during longer distance tows.
A higher quality tow strap is not found on the market today.
