The mega short slip yoke eliminator kit (with speed sensor) from Rugged Ridge is essential if a 2 inch or taller suspension has been installed.A Slip Yoke Eliminator Kit (SYE) eliminates the need to drop the transfer case to avoid drive train vibrations caused by taller suspension lifts.This kit replaces the slip yoke portion of the NP 231 with a fixed yoke and CV-style drive shaft assembly.The Mega Short SYE (18676.72) is designed for use in the same lift applications as other standard SYE kits (2 inch and up).The main advantage of the new Mega Short SYE kit is that it allows for a longer drive shaft to be used (an additional 3 inches).This reduces the angle of the drive shaft and improves bearing and u-joint life while reducing driveline vibrations caused by lifted Jeeps running short drive shafts.It also features a shorter and stronger main shaft design.
