A Capture Plate is a necessary component of PullRite’s SuperGlide 5th wheel towing system.
This plate attaches to your trailer’s skid plate.
When hooked up to your SuperGlide hitch and ready to tow, it isolates the rotation of the trailer’s king pin in the hitch.
The movement and rotation are then transferred to the automatic cam action of your SuperGlide hitch, moving it away from the cab along its rails to prevent contact between the trailer and the cab of your truck!
To determine the correct capture plate for your application, first find the manufacturer’s name and model number located on your pin box.
Then make the necessary A, B, and C measurements.
“A” measures the king pin plate from side-to-side.
This is the most important measurement.
Ensure that this measurement is no more than 1/16” less than the measurement listed.
“B” measures the leading edge of the king pin to the leading edge of the king pin plate.
“C” measures the rear edge to the leading edge of the king pin plate.
