A new variable speed control has been developed by Flex-a-lite to actuate engine cooling fans.The Variable Speed Control (VSC) can be set between 160 and 220 degrees and senses cooling temperature through the radiator core.The fan speed will vary from 60 to 100 percent depending on engine cooling needs, and it will operate at 60 percent when the air-conditioning is on.A built-in 5-second delay reduces charging spikes at start-up, and a 30 seconds delay after shut down is included if additional cooling is needed.A terminal for Flex-a-lite’s manual switch allows the electric fan to be turned off during water crossings.
