The uses for this wrap are numerous, with its most popular application being the insulation of header pipes and other engine components in auto racing.
Under-hood temperatures can be reduced by 50%-70%.
This 2" wide wrap offers more coverage with less footage compared to narrower wraps.
A premium weave makes it easy to install, with a recommended 1/4" overlap during installation.
Avoid using this wrap if your engine leaks oil or other fluids, as fiberglass retains fluids.
While the wrap itself does not burn, the fluids within it can.
Responsibility for keeping the wrap clean and free from fluids and contaminants lies with the buyer, user, and installer.
Clean and degrease your pipes thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before installation.
Generally, 100 ft at 2" width is needed to wrap a set of V8 headers.
A 2" x 50ft roll can wrap most small engine headers, such as those found in karts, mini bikes, or some mini choppers and pocket bikes.
Always wear gloves, long sleeves, long pants, close-toed shoes, safety glasses, and a dust mask when handling or installing fiberglass products.
