The year 1988 marked the beginning of a 30-year affair with manufacturing American Made hot-rod parts.

However, well before that, the heart of the company started when Skip Walls, a young teenager in the early 60s, was driving his first 1932 Ford 5-Window.

Skip accumulated many cars through the years, raced, and worked on them until he met Debbie in 1980.

Not long after, Skip started Lokar as a machinery repair business, a trade he learned from his father.

The name Lokar, easily associated with his desire to lower every vehicle as low as possible, was an idea given to him by Debbie.
