From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Hookit™ Gold Film Dust-Free Disc 255L features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing and provides dust control with a 5-hole pattern when used with a vacuum and a dust-free backup pad.

It produces a fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finish on wood, paint prep, and defect repair applications where dust is an issue.

The flexible film backing provides a consistent finish and greater tear-resistance than a comparable paper product, making it well-suited for a high-production environment.

For repeated use, the Hookit hook-and-loop attachment works well by enabling easy re-use when switching between grades before the discs are worn out.
