The OEM part has internal passages that are restrictive.
When the OEM valve fails in the closed position, your cooler does not receive transmission fluid.
This can be caused by debris or mechanical failure.
The failure of the stock valve can lead to dangerous overheating of the transmission.
Without properly cooled transmission fluid, the life of transmission components is shortened by the demands of towing and rigorous stop-and-go driving conditions.
The PPE Bypass Valve eliminates the factory valve, which is extremely restrictive, maximizing fluid flow from the transmission cooler.
For further protection, a service plug equipped with a Neodymium magnet has been added.
The removable plug traps ferrous debris and can be accessed to remove particles from the system.
This feature is not present in the factory bypass valve.
