RockJock's narrow forged Johnny Joints for fabricators and builders of suspension systems offer unrestricted movement of 40 degrees in any direction, compared to 22 degrees on a common heim joint!
Johnny Joint rod ends provide cushioning that a heim joint cannot offer via high-density urethane bushing encasing the inner ball.
The center balls, which are heat treated, are cross-drilled for lubrication with a thru-bolt, and the internals of the joint are retained with 2 heavy-duty, heat-treated side washers and a snap ring.
This specific joint features a narrow body with a diameter of 2 1/2 in.
and a long shank measuring 9 1/2 in.
from the center line of the joint to the end of the threads, along with 3 1/2 in.
of 1 1/4 in.-12 RH threads and a center pivot ball that is 2.625 in.

Additional features of the long shank design include the jam nut being pushed outward, away from the bracket where the joint mounts, to provide more clearance and accessibility to the jam nut.
Furthermore, the smooth shank area of the joint may be bent in a press to angle the joint for a perfect fit in your application or to gain clearance in tight spots.
The joint is externally greasable through a zerk fitting, and the finish is gold zinc plating.
