At that time, there were no commercially available studs and bolts that could meet the challenge.
Holzapfel utilized his extensive fastener-making experience from a leading aerospace subcontractor to establish ARP (Automotive Racing Products).
Over the years, the company has evolved from a backyard garage workshop into a diversified manufacturer with five operational entities in Southern California, covering more than 200,000 square feet.
These facilities include forging, machining, finishing, and packaging/warehousing in Santa Paula and Ventura, California.
The main Santa Paula facility even features a racing-themed restaurant called 'Hozy's Grill,' which is open to the public.
Today, ARP's product line includes thousands of part numbers and has expanded to cover nearly every fastener found in an engine and driveline, ranging from high-performance OEM replacement parts to specialty hardware for Formula 1, IndyCar, NASCAR, NHRA drag racing, and marine applications.
