Description
The exhaust wrap from Design Engineering, made with Lava Rock Technology, is constructed from pulverized lava rock that is stranded into a fiber material and woven into a proprietary weave.Engineered to be stronger than most wraps, the Titanium wrap is more durable for thermal performance and reliability. It withstands direct heat of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit and intermittent heat of 2500 degrees Fahrenheit. This wrap promotes increased flow while reducing temperature and vibration breakdown. It is suitable for any automotive or motorcycle application.Note of Caution: Once the wrap has been through heat cycles, it is not designed to be removed. After heating, the fibers lose their initial flexibility, but this does not affect the thermal properties of the exhaust wrap.Be aware of this before deciding to remove the wrap.Design Engineering Hi-Temp Silicone Coating spray is NOT recommended for DEI Titanium wrap.Note about Titanium Exhaust Systems: DEI does NOT recommend wrapping Titanium exhausts, as the alloys used in titanium exhaust systems are thin and designed to dissipate heat quickly.Wrapping the exhaust can cause the titanium alloy to become brittle and prone to premature cracking.Alternatives such as flexible heat shields are recommended for reducing heat on titanium exhaust systems.

More about this item : 1" x 50' Design Engineering Titanium Exhaust Heat Wrap with Lava Rock Technology - Heat Wrap for Exhaust Pipes, Pliable Exhaust Wrap Tape, Withstands 1800°F Direct Heat & 2500°F Intermittent Heat

The exhaust wrap from Design Engineering, made with Lava Rock Technology, is constructed from pulverized lava rock that is stranded into a fiber material and woven into a proprietary weave.

Engineered to be stronger than most wraps, the Titanium wrap is more durable for thermal performance and reliability.

It withstands direct heat of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit and intermittent heat of 2500 degrees Fahrenheit.

This wrap promotes increased flow while reducing temperature and vibration breakdown.

It is suitable for any automotive or motorcycle application.

Note of Caution: Once the wrap has been through heat cycles, it is not designed to be removed.

After heating, the fibers lose their initial flexibility, but this does not affect the thermal properties of the exhaust wrap.

Be aware of this before deciding to remove the wrap.

Design Engineering Hi-Temp Silicone Coating spray is NOT recommended for DEI Titanium wrap.

Note about Titanium Exhaust Systems: DEI does NOT recommend wrapping Titanium exhausts, as the alloys used in titanium exhaust systems are thin and designed to dissipate heat quickly.

Wrapping the exhaust can cause the titanium alloy to become brittle and prone to premature cracking.

Alternatives such as flexible heat shields are recommended for reducing heat on titanium exhaust systems.
