The GM Gen V LT Swap Oil Pan has the same dimensions as 302-20 and features an oil return boss that can be drilled and tapped.
GM's new Gen-V LT direct injected engines are beginning to be used in a wide range of vehicles.
They are durable and reliable, making great power.
However, the factory oil pans may not fit properly or may hang too low for modern hot rods.
Holley's LT Swap Engine Oil Pan is designed to maximize clearance to the chassis and ground while offering an OE (Original Equipment) style fitment for proper sealing and durability.
These oil pans are suitable for: 1967-1992 Camaro/Firebird, 1968-1974 Nova/Apollo/Ventura/Omega, 1978-1987 G-body, 1964-1972 A-body, and 1973-1987 Chevy/GMC Full Size Trucks.
If a turbo oil return is necessary, oil pan part number 320-20 is recommended instead of this pan, as it has the oil return port machined.
Maximum recommended crankshaft stroke is 4.00 inches.
This oil pan is not intended for use on engines that originally utilized a dry sump oiling system.
Recommended LT dipstick and dipstick tube are GM part numbers 12661062 (dipstick) and 12678823 (dipstick tube).
Some factory LT1 applications include an oil temperature sensor, but this pan does not have a boss for that sensor installation.
If the sensor is needed, it must be relocated, and machining will be required.
