Alternator Bracket Bolt Kit ARP (190-3302)
Alternators that come loose are a pain, which is why ARP developed these tough bolts (your choice of polished stainless or chrome moly steel (ARP 300 both rated 170,000 psi).
The stainless has the added advantage of being corrosion and rust resistant.
Strange as it may seem, many races have been lost in endurance, off-road, and oval track competition due to the failure of the OEM alternator stud and the subsequent loss of electrical power.
To prevent this from happening, conscientious engine builders rely on ARP's bulletproof alternator studs.
Made from a premium grade 8740 chrome moly steel alloy, they are heat-treated to a nominal tensile strength of 200,000 psi.
They are very rigid and won't bend under the stress of competition, eliminating problems with alternator pulley alignment.
