The speed sensor for automatic transmission measures the rotational speed of the transmission shafts.
Input and output speeds of the transmission are monitored and relayed to the ECM/TCM by either an analog or digital signal for proper shift points, speedometer operation, and diagnostics of the transmission.
Replacement causes include illumination of the check engine lamp, erratic or poor shifting, erratic or no speedometer operation, and the transmission entering limp/fail-safe mode.
NTK automatic transmission speed sensors are constructed from high strength thermoplastic that resists temperature, moisture, and chemicals.
O-rings that are pre-installed precisely match OE material and diameter for sealing and ease of installation.
The output signal of the sensor matches OE specifications.
