Recommended for petroleum-base hydraulic oils, glycol antifreeze compounds, engine lubricating oils, and air, the Gates C5C Hydraulic Hose meets SAE 30R2, SAE 30R6, and SAE 30R7 requirements for fuel and B20 biodiesel fuel transfer applications to +125°F.This hose is NOT recommended for applications involving vibration or pressure surges.One braid of high-tensile carbon steel wire reinforces the hose over one braid of polyester.The tube is -4 and -5: black, oil, and heat resistant synthetic rubber (Neoprene - Type A); -6 through -40: (Nitrile - Type C).C5 Field Attachable Couplings are recommended for this hose.Under SAE 100R5 (hydraulic) conditions, the temperature ranges are -40°F to +212°F (-40°C to +100°C).For all-purpose fleet applications (hot lube oil lines), the range is -40°F to +300°F (-40°C to +149°C).Air applications can reach +160°F (+71°C) only.Continuous use at maximum temperature concurrent with maximum working pressures should be avoided.
