Earl's Performance Products was established in 1955 by Earl Fouts in Lawndale, California.

The goal was to supply military aircraft surplus plumbing components directly to the racing industry from a small retail outlet.

Earl's invented most of the special-purpose racing adapters, the full billet hose clamp housing, and introduced the flexible armored PTFE lined hose to the racing industry in the 1960s.
