For drivers who require something tougher than a standard StopTech Sport rotor but are not ready for a big brake kit, StopTech offers Cryo rotors that are cryogenically treated.
Cryogenic treatment is a one-time process for stress relief that involves both heat and cold cycling of the brake rotor.
Using a proprietary process that is computer-controlled over a 24-hour period, the cryo machine cools the rotors down to -300 F, then gradually brings them back up to over +300 F, and finally returns them to room temperature.
This conditioning of the rotor enhances its service life, particularly in fleet and emergency vehicle applications.
