The cryogenic treatment is a one-time process for stress relief that involves both heat and cold cycling of the brake rotor.

Using a proprietary process controlled by a computer over a 24-hour period, the cryo machine cools the rotors down to -300 F, then gradually raises them to over +300 F, and finally back to room temperature.

This rotor conditioning improves service life, particularly in fleet and emergency vehicle applications.
