Cut the end of tubing squarely, then slide the nut over the tubing.
Press the tubing firmly onto the flare of the fitting.
Hand tighten the nut securely onto the fitting by sliding it to the threads.
If necessary, turn with a wrench an additional 1/4 turn.
Avoid using any 2 inch pipe dopes, sealants, Teflon tape, or other chemicals on Flair-It connections.
However, Teflon tape should be applied on male pipe threads when connecting to female threads.
When connecting to brass, galvanized steel, or CPVC, a male Flair-It fitting should be used instead of a female fitting.
For connections to a water heater in a mobile home, a 1/2 inch flex copper connector off of the water heater is recommended.
From a flex connector to polybutylene, utilize a Flair-It male adapter.
Do not use in a closed loop system.
Joints should not be made under concrete.
