The Gates C5C Hydraulic Hose is recommended for hydraulic oils, petroleum-base, glycol antifreeze compounds, engine lubricating oils, and air.
It meets requirements for SAE 30R2, SAE 30R6, and SAE 30R7 for fuel and B20 biodiesel fuel transfer applications to +125°F.
This hose is not recommended for applications involving pressure surge or vibration.
The reinforcement consists of one braid of high-tensile carbon steel wire over one braid of polyester.
The tube is -4 and -5: black, oil and heat resistant synthetic rubber (Neoprene - Type A); -6 through -40: (Nitrile - Type C).
The recommended coupling for this hose is C5 Field Attachable Couplings.
The temperature ranges are as follows: Under SAE 100R5 (hydraulic) conditions -40°F to +212°F (-40°C to +100°C).
All-purpose fleet application (hot lube oil lines) -40°F to +300°F (-40°C to +149°C).
Air to +160°F (+71°C) only.
Avoid continuous use at maximum temperature concurrent with maximum working pressures.
