Founded in 1955 by Earl Fouts in Lawndale, California, Earl's Performance Products aimed to supply high-quality military aircraft surplus plumbing components directly to the racing industry from a small retail outlet.
As the military surplus market diminished, Earl recognized the need for continuity of supply for the racing market and pioneered the Earl's range of hoses and fittings still in use today.
In doing so, he created the racing aftermarket plumbing industry.
The self-indexing hose end, known as the 'Swivel Seal', was invented by Earl's Performance in 1973, allowing 360-degree adjustment after installation.
Earl's introduced the flexible armored PTFE lined hose to the racing industry in the 1960s and invented most of the special purpose racing adapters and the full billet hose clamp housing.
Earl's racing heritage is unmatched and is possibly the winning-est plumbing in history, relied upon by top funny car teams, sprint car teams, and Indy car teams.
Earl's plumbing has been featured on the majority of Indy 500 winners.
Earl's Performance Plumbing has global distribution outlets, and is renowned as the world's No.1 motorsport hose and fittings source, with manufacturing headquartered in Bowling Green, KY, and three distribution/assembly sub-locations in Indianapolis, Earl's UK at Silverstone, and Earl's Australia in Sydney.
