Heatshield Products 1" ID x 6" Long Lava Boot Heat Shield (400702), Pack of 2
Lava Boot Shields are a solution to LS series spark plug boot problems.
Similar to Insul-Boots, the Lava Boot Shield features a flexible dual wall high temperature basalt sleeving with a no-fray cuff.
The tightly braided basalt has a working temperature of 1200 degrees Fahrenheit that assures protection from burnout of plugs and wires even in the most demanding applications.
Lava Boots help prevent misfires caused by burnout of plug-wire, which helps prevent critical engine damage and loss in performance.
Additionally, they can protect wires and boots from damage caused by excessive engine and exhaust heat.
The universal design fits most boots, even at 90 degrees.
They have standard sizes of 1 inch inner diameter x 6 inch and 8 inch long, which are a great fit for most engine applications, and their 8 inch long 1-1/4 inch inner diameter Lava Boot Shields are the perfect fit to cure LS series spark plug boot blues.
