Heatshield Products 781003 Lava Heat Shield Mat 0.025" Thick x 36" x 47" (With Heavy Duty Adhesive)
Their volcanic rock heat shield mat is not to be confused with the 'fool's gold'.
The Lava Mat outperforms that gold foil vinyl sticker material by reflecting 60 percent more radiant heat.
Made from crushed volcanic rock, the Lava Mat has benefits similar to the HP Heatshield Mat with that trick carbon fiber appearance.
This heat shield insulator reflects radiant heat away to create an air box heat shield or a heat shield barrier for your carbon fiber or fiberglass hood.
The Lava Mat can also be laid on a fire wall to shield radiant heat while giving your vehicle that trick carbon fiber look.
It withstands 1200F direct continuous and 1800F intermittent.
This heat shield barrier cloth can be used with less than 1" of airspace, with a minimum of 3/8" recommended.
Bulk rolls of basalt heat shield cloth are available.
