Made from crushed volcanic rock, the Lava Mat has benefits similar to the HP Heatshield Mat with a trick carbon fiber appearance.

This insulator reflects radiant heat away to serve as an air box heat shield or a heat shield barrier for your fiberglass or carbon fiber hood.

The Lava Mat can also be placed on a fire wall to shield radiant heat while providing your vehicle with that trick carbon fiber look.

It withstands 1200F direct continuous and 1800F intermittent.

This heat shield barrier cloth can be utilized with less than 1" of airspace, with a minimum of 3/8" recommended.
