Lava Tube is a thermal barrier product shaped like a tube, designed to protect sensitive components in environments with excessive ambient temperatures and direct heat.
The material is a thermal barrier weave made from volcanic rock, specially formulated by Heatshield Products, and is extremely durable against chemical exposure and abrasions.
The basalt fiber allows Lava Tube to protect components from continuous temperatures of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit and intermittent temperatures of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
This makes Lava Tube a superior alternative to silicon-based thermal barrier sleeves in applications above 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lava Tube has been designed with a hook-and-loop fastener system, allowing for installation without disassembling components or removing lines and hoses.
Available in four diameters ranging from 1/2-inch to 1 1/2-inches, it comes in either 3-foot long or 10-foot long rolls, with custom lengths also available.
It can be cut to length easily.
