When enhancing K24Z engines, such as the 9th Gen Civic Si and TSX for high power and 8000+ RPM, the stock oiling system becomes inadequate due to the OEM oil pump's balance shafts.The most economical and practical fix is to replace it with the Acura RSX Type-S PRB oil pump, which removes the balance shafts and improves oil supply.This kit is necessary to seal off the K24Z block's factory oil filter housing during a PRB/Type-S oil pump swap and relocates the filter to the top of the block, similar to other K-Series motors.
