Liquid Formula Medium Rubbing Compound by Star brite is designed for applications of light to medium duty.
DIRECTIONS: Wash surface with Boat Wash from STAR BRITE to remove grime and dirt.
Apply a small amount of Liquid Rubbing Compound from STAR BRITE to the surface using a clean, dry cloth.
Rub in a circular, overlapping motion with firm pressure while the compound remains wet.
Rotate the application cloth frequently to avoid reapplying removed oxidation.
Allow to dry until a haze appears, then buff using another clean, dry cloth.
Work on a small area at a time to ensure uniform cleaning.
Several applications may be necessary to fully restore the finish.
If using an electric buffer, take care not to apply excessive pressure, which can burn the surface.
After restoring the original color and luster, it is recommended to seal and shine the surface with a polish from STAR BRITE.
NOTE: All rubbing compounds are abrasive and can scratch gel coat, metal, and painted surfaces.
It is suggested to first try STAR BRITE Fiberglass Color Restorer & Sealer before using a rubbing compound.
These products are less abrasive and can typically restore moderately oxidized surfaces to a like-new condition.
