Designed with a built-in excess flow feature, the Type I (QCC) connectors will not allow gas to flow until the connector is fully engaged.The built-in thermal protection on the QCC connector melts in the case of a fire, allowing the nipple to disengage for the tank connection and stop the flow of propane.A positive back check seal at disconnect is also provided by the QCC connector to eliminate the propane in the hose from being released into the atmosphere.
