A safe, user-friendly connection is provided from your Marshall Excelsior MEGR-9984 (#57498, 57499) regulator to a standard LP gas cylinder without the use of a wrench.
The nylon nut that is easy to tighten swivels on a connector fitting that is heat sensitive.
The brass nipple displaces (approximately 1/4 inch) between 240 degrees F and 300 degrees F, closing the cylinder valve module and stopping the flow of gas from the container.
A flow-limiting device is designed to sense excess gas flow inside the brass nipple.
If excessive gas flow is detected, the flow to a maximum of 10 SCFH (by-pass flow) will be shut down by the RV Thermo Pigtail.
Required by RVIA (Recreational Vehicle Industry Association) as original equipment on your RV, it should be maintained to the highest standards.
When opening or refilling your LP gas cylinders, it could take as long as 20 minutes to re-pressurize your LP gas system for normal appliance(s) operation.
NOTE: MEC Green Type I Nut for use on RV application ONLY (200.000 BTUH).
