The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit enhances cooling for the Kia Stinger GT 3.3T from 2018 onward.
The Stinger line-up made a significant impact upon its introduction, bringing a fresh perspective to the mid-sized sports sedan market.
Although the Lambda II GDI 3.3T offers one of the best platforms available today, the intercooling system could limit the Stinger's performance.
Our new design replaces the entire intercooling system.
The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler replaces the tube-and-fin core with a robust bar-and-plate core, TIG-welded to cast aluminum end tanks for improved heat dissipation and flow.
The construction was updated, and we expanded our core for a 94% increase in core volume and a 74% increase in external fin surface area.
While the stock piping was durable aluminum, the diameter could restrict flow as power increases.
We maintained the aluminum but increased the inner diameter to 3" for better flow with minimal pressure drop.
We also overhauled the piping merger manifold, increasing the inlets to 2" and outlet to 3" for a 51% boost in flow from the turbos, while remaining compatible with stock recirculation valves.
On the dyno, the combination of larger piping diameters and increased intercooler size resulted in a 29°F drop in outlet temperatures with a gain of 8whp and 8wtq on stock tuning.
We also increased the boost during testing and installed a stage 1 map tune on our Stinger, achieving a 41°F drop in outlet temperature with a 6whp and 8wtq gain on top of the tune.
The Mishimoto Kia Stinger GT 3.3T Performance Intercooler Kit from 2018 onward is available in silver or black and includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
