The factory power steering pump on the Mopar Gen III Hemi engines has excessive pressure for the steering box on most older muscle cars and trucks.
This mounting plate is designed to mount Power Steering Pump 198-104 on Gen III Hemi Engines.
This Saginaw type II power steering pump produces the correct pressure and works with pulley 97-383 to operate the pump at the proper speed when used with the existing drive system on Gen III Hemi engines.
The complete kit (part # VK090244) includes the power steering pump with reservoir, mounting plate, hardline adapter, and pulley.
