The Johnny Joint rod ends provide cushioning that a heel joint cannot offer through the high-density urethane bushing that wraps around the inner ball.
Center balls that are heat-treated are cross-drilled for internal and pin lubrication.
They are retained with 2 high-strength heat-treated side washers and a snap ring.
This specific joint is a 2-inch bore joint fitted with a zerk fit to grease 2 14 of 114 right-hand threads on the stem and a 1615 mounting width ball with a 718 bolt hole finished in zinc plated golden.
