The Starter Shield, ONYX Series, combines two advanced textiles into a dual layer for maximum thermal control.
The outer layer consists of heat treated glass fiber bonded with molten aluminum, formed into a tight weave for added strength and durability.
The inner layer is made of a specially treated, high temperature resistant fabric (89% silica).
Together, these materials protect the starter from direct heat up to 1350 degrees Fahrenheit.
The shield, ONYX Series, features a rich black finish and is sized 7" width by 24" length.
The length can be trimmed to size for convenience and fastens with a hook and loop fastening system that allows for easy installation without removing the starter.
This shield is also designed to be multi-purpose and can fit most master cylinders, distributors, fuel pumps, and many other components.
