Pertronix Adaptive Dwell Control 91643 Ignitor II Module for Nippondenso 4-Cylinder Engine
The Ignitor II has many of the same great features as the Ignitor, but it is smarter.
Units of Ignitor II sense the coil current level and utilize a powerful microcontroller to adjust the dwell.
Peak energy is maintained throughout the entire RPM range with variable dwell.
Between 3000 and 5000 RPM, Ignitor II systems develop up to 4 times more energy than standard ignition systems.
When used with the Flame-Thrower II super low resistance (0.6 ohms) 45,000 volt coils, high RPM performance is improved.
Features include adaptive dwell that maintains peak energy throughout the entire RPM range, reducing misfires while improving engine performance.
On average, it develops 4 times more available energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM and 2 times more available plug voltage.
It compensates for inherent electronic delay by adjusting the spark timing throughout the entire RPM range.
Synchronized peak current and spark timing reduce heat build-up.
It senses startup and develops more energy for quicker, easier starting.
