During the development of AWE's discontinued 750R Turbo Kit, excessively high intake air temperatures were encountered.
To address this, a new intercooler system was engineered, starting with the design and casting of end tanks, then machining them on our CNC mill, welding them to specially designed cores, and refining them on our AWD dyno.
The cores are 37% larger than stock (422 cubic inches vs 308 cubic inches), featuring a high flow bar and plate style, built to our charge row and fin count specs, resulting in drop pressure resistance and improved intake temperatures.
The kit includes 6-ply silicone hoses with gentle curves, stainless steel high force t-bolt clamps, a molded lip for a factory-like locking mechanism, and Nomex braiding for strength.
