The FK8 Civic Type-R High Volume Intake system employs a cone filter of 6 inches and a two-piece MAF housing with velocity stacks to maximize airflow while maintaining proper fuel trims.The air box, rotomolded from HDPE, uses the factory air duct and seal for optimal airflow and reduction of heat-soak.Safe attachment of all components without airflow obstruction is ensured by custom-molded 4-ply silicone.The Big Bore MAF housing option, rated at 600+ horsepower and the largest on the market, provides a 47% increase in airflow volume over the factory MAF housing or Standard Bore HVI MAF.The volute and MAF sensor flange location were optimized by our engineers for stable fuel trims, requiring calibration/MAF scaling, and is ideal for customers aiming to exceed 450 horsepower.
