For boots with tight bends, consider the ring less 8" Protect-A-Boot from Design Engineering (available only in Titanium or silver).

For thicker boots, such as those from Taylor or MSD, DEI Protect-A-Boot Sleeves are recommended; the diameter of 1.25" will allow for simple installation.
