These boxes have a quick 16:1 ratio for a precise and responsive steering system and a needle bearing design for smoother operation.
The direct bolt-on design requires no modifications or core charge.
The 16:1 ratio is the same ratio used on all high-performance Mustangs (GT, "K" car, Shelby, Mach 1, and Boss models).
Power steering cars also feature the 16:1 ratio.
Most of these boxes are worn out after 45+ years of service and are not rebuildable.
Scott Drake's new boxes eliminate play in the steering wheel, steering hesitation, and wandering.
It is an excellent upgrade for regular production Mustangs with manual steering and slower 20:1 ratio.
