This CV drive shaft, double cardan style, is necessary for Jeep JK models equipped with short arm suspension lifts of 3.5" - 6" or long arm suspension lifts of 2.5" - 6".
It features a replacement flange for the differential pinions instead of using an adapter flange.
Machined from solid billet steel, these flanges are designed to accept standard off the shelf mating flanges.
If these flanges break, you have a chance of obtaining a replacement part from almost any drive line shop.
This also results in a longer drive shaft with the center of the universal joint positioned closer to the pinion bearing.
